Community design for change
Roots First believes we can change the world, one garden at a time. We are landscape architects, urban planners, artists and educators dedicated to engaging people in community design to improve the quality of life for all.
Specifically, we develop projects that focus on people’s relationship with the environment around them. We strive to foster ecological literacy and a sense of self-reliance in the communities we work with by helping them to build meaningful outdoor places infused with local knowledge.
Roots First is a non-profit organization, currently seeking 501(c)3 status.
